![]() ![]() I'm pretty good with the Pz IV series though. ![]() Couldn't tell you the exact model, 'cause I'm not an expert on the variations on T-34s (and Sherman's for that matter). ![]() However, the T-34's look like a model that came out after the Stalingrad campaign. I used to play Talonsoft's East Front II, and I'm pretty sure that's what they are. Just looked up the scene.I'm pretty sure they're BT-7s which was Russia's Light Tank during this time. Does someone know what tanks they used there? When the Soviet tanks attack there are only a couple of T-34s but in background there are a couple of other tanks that I didn't recognize. In 'Stalingrad' there is a scene where the Germans stop T-34s with magnetic mines. And if you haven’t, hopefully they give you some small measure of understanding for what those who have fought have been through. On similar subject. (We did not, however, count Star Wars – go cry into your Wookiee dolls, nerds.) If you’ve ever been on the frontlines yourself, these movies will resonate. As a result, this list runs the gamut, from depictions of very real conflicts, including both World Wars, Vietnam and the so-called ‘War on Terror’, to fictional battles occurring on faraway planets. In considering the greatest war films ever made, we paid special attention to those movies that view combat from multiple angles. It was a German offensive intended to drive a wedge between the American and British armies. Why do we fight? What happens when it’s over? And ultimately, is it ever worth it? The Battle of the Bulge (December 16, 1944January 16, 1945), also known as the Ardennes Offensive, was the largest battle fought on the Western Front in Europe during World War II it is also the largest battle ever fought by the United States Army. They ask the important questions about the nature of war itself. The military has trained tank crews and will pay for maintenance and wear and tear, justifying it as training or goodwill. But the best war movies go deeper than mere cinematic bravado. Let’s say you want to make a movie with a lot of tanks or aircraft or something that the military has a lot of even though its not quite authentic. Military conflict is at the centre of some of the greatest films ever made, and no wonder – few other man-made nightmares serve as such natural backdrops for suspense, horror and heroism. War is hell, but hell makes for great drama. ![]()
